Diamond Glow
Post-CARE Instructions
After a DiamondGlow facial, which combines exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion, proper post-care is essential to maximize results and maintain healthy skin. Here are some general post-care guidelines:
Avoid Touching Your Skin
Limit Skin Contact: Your skin may feel sensitive immediately after treatment. Avoid touching or picking at the skin to prevent irritation.
Avoid Heat and Sun Exposure
Stay Out of Direct Sunlight: For at least 48 hours, avoid direct sun exposure to prevent irritation. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen when going outside.
Avoid Heat Sources: Skip hot showers, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours, as heat can increase redness or irritation.
Skip Exfoliants and Strong Ingredients
Avoid Retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and Vitamin C: Refrain from using these active ingredients for at least 48 hours after the treatment, as they can irritate freshly exfoliated skin.
Avoid Scrubs and Physical Exfoliants: Give your skin time to heal without additional exfoliation for at least 72 hours.
Hydrate Well
Drink Plenty of Water: Staying hydrated will help your skin retain moisture and enhance the effects of the treatment.
Moisturize Regularly: Use a gentle, hydrating moisturizer twice a day to soothe and protect your skin.
Avoid Makeup (for 24 hours)
Let Your Skin Breathe: Try to avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours after the treatment to prevent clogged pores and give your skin time to absorb the benefits of the facial.
Monitor for Potential Side Effects
Mild Redness or Sensitivity (Normal): Some redness, tingling, or tightness is normal after DiamondGlow and should subside within a few hours.
Alert for Unusual Reactions: If you experience prolonged redness, swelling, or discomfort, contact your provider, as this could indicate irritation.
Follow-Up Treatments
Stick to Your Treatment Plan: DiamondGlow facials are often recommended in a series. Follow the schedule your provider suggests for optimal, long-lasting results.
