Vaginal Rejuvenation with Exilis

Post-CARE Instructions

1. Immediate Aftercare:

  • Expect Mild Redness and Warmth: You may experience mild redness or warmth in the treatment area, which is normal and typically resolves within a few hours.

  • Avoid Rubbing or Scratching: Refrain from touching, rubbing, or scratching the area, as this can cause irritation.

2. Avoid Sexual Activity:

  • Abstain from Sexual Intercourse: It’s recommended to avoid sexual activity for 3–5 days following treatment to allow the area to heal and to avoid irritation.

3. Avoid Certain Products and Activities:

  • No Perfumes, Lotions, or Harsh Soaps: Use only gentle, unscented cleansers in the treated area for the first few days.

  • Avoid Hot Baths, Saunas, and Steam Rooms: Wait at least 48 hours before exposing the area to high heat, as it may increase irritation or redness.

  • No Tight Clothing: Opt for loose, breathable clothing to minimize friction and discomfort.

4. Managing Potential Discomfort:

  • Mild Swelling or Sensitivity: This is normal and should subside within a day or two. If discomfort is present, over-the-counter pain relief, like acetaminophen (if approved by your provider), may help.

  • Cold Compresses (if needed): You may apply a cool compress to reduce any discomfort or swelling, but avoid applying ice directly to the skin.

5. Stay Hydrated:

  • Drink Plenty of Water: Staying hydrated supports the body’s natural healing process and collagen production.

6. Monitor for Unusual Symptoms:

  • Signs of Infection or Severe Discomfort: If you experience symptoms like persistent swelling, pain, discharge, or a fever, contact your healthcare provider right away, as these could indicate infection or an adverse reaction.

7. Follow-Up and Additional Treatments:

  • Attend Follow-Up Appointments: Exilis often requires multiple sessions for optimal results. Attend any follow-ups as recommended by your provider.

Adhere to Provider-Specific Guidance: Your provider may give additional recommendations based on your treatment plan and response.
