How many Sessions Do I need?

The number of sessions required for ClearLift tattoo removal can vary widely based on several factors, including the size, color, and complexity of the tattoo, as well as the individual's skin type and how well their body responds to the treatment.

  • A high-power Q-switched ND:YAG laser for Black and blue and a 532nm for reds, greens, and yellows

  • The laser targets the color in the tattoo ink and breaks up the color with the heat of the laser. The laser will slowly bring the ink out of the skin.

  • You will have numbing cream applied. Safety googles will be applied and your technician will do the treatment. The machine is noisy, and it makes a popping sound when the laser fires.

  • Yes, tattoo removal is always painful. Some say it is more painful than tattoo application. We will use topical and or injectable lidocaine to increase comfort and can provide nitrous oxide for a fee.

  • Anywhere from 10-90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours) depending on size, depth, and client tolerance of procedure.

  • Anyone who has an unwanted tattoo and no contraindications.

  • Anyone pregnant, bleeding, or clotting disorder or on anticoagulants, caution with darker skin types is protocol, tattoos with lead or other non-ink components may not come up. People with no pain tolerance are not good candidates

  • The tattoo removal will cause redness, swelling, irritation, sensitivity, and some bleeding to the site. This will typically crust over within a day. It may ooze the night of the procedure. The skin will be damaged so care must be taken to protect the skin from an opportunistic infection. Using Aquaphor for the first day or 2 followed by keeping area clean and dry. Showers may be taken but no submerging area in water for 5-7 days. Keep out of the sun for 14 plus days.

  • Anywhere from 4-16 can be needed. Tattoo removal has a lot of variables, and it does take time. Patience is key

  • Every 6 weeks (about 1 and a half months) is typical but can be eventually based on response.
